Dendrobium excavatum (Blume) Miq. 1859

Dendrobium ini hidup di dataran menengah antara 600 - 1500 m di atas permukaan laut, tidak terlalu menyukai sinar matahari langsung, oleh sebab itu agak sulit memelihara jenis anggrek ini di daerah dataran rendah seperti Jakarta. Termasuk dalam Section Oxystophyllum, banyak terdapat di Cambodia, Malaysia, Borneo, Java, Lesser Sunda Islands, Moluccas, Sumatra dan New Guinea. Dendrobium yang di foto ini, saya dapatkan dari daerah Kalimantan. Ukuran bunganya cukup kecil hanya sekitar 2-3mm saja, sehingga cukup sulit untuk difoto.

This Dendrobium is living in the plain medium between 600 - 1500 m above sea level, not too fond of direct sunlight, therefore it is rather difficult to maintain this orchid in lowland areas such as Jakarta. Included in Section Oxystophyllum, is widely available in Cambodia, Malaysia, Borneo, Java, Lesser Sunda Islands, Moluccas, Sumatra and New Guinea. The Dendrobium is in this photo, I got from Borneo region. Flowers small enough size only about 2-3mm only, so it is quite difficult to be photographed.

Dendrobium lowii Lindl. 1861

Dendrobium ini termasuk dalam keluarga atau Section Formosae dan merupakan salah satu Dendrobium yang perawatannya cukup susah untuk dipelihara di daerah Jakarta dan sekitarnya. Dendrobium ini termasuk cukup langka di habitatnya, susah sekali menemukan anggrek ini di alam liarnya.

Bunganya yang berwarna kuning dengan labellum yang berwarna agak orange dan berbulu. Ukuran bunganya antara 4-5 cm dan bertahan cukup lama apabila sudah mekar penuh. Ditemukan banyak di daerah Kalimantan terutama di daerah Sarawak, Malaysia.

This Dendrobium is included in the family or Section Formosae and its treatment is quite difficult to be maintained in Jakarta and surrounding areas. In its habitat, this Dendrobium is quite rare, hard to find these orchids in the wild.
The flowers are yellow with a little orange-colored labellum and hairy. Flower size between 4-5 cm and survive long enough when they are in full bloom. Found many areas of Borneo, especially in regions of Sarawak, Malaysia.

Dendrobium draconis Rchb.f 1862

Dendrobium ini termasuk dalam SECTION Formosae dengan bunga berwarna putih dan lidah berwarna putih dan merah. Berukuran cukup besar antara 5-7.5 cm dan berasal dari daerah Assam India, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos dan Vietnam, hidup di dataran menengah, dan menyukai sinar matahari, tidak menyukai media yang basah.

Dendrobium ini ternyata cukup adaptif di dataran rendah dan dapat pula berbunga. Bunganya cukup tahan lama hingga beberapa hari bahkan bisa lebih dari 2 minggu.

Kali ini saya postingkan anggrek yang ditempatkan di rumah teman saya, di daerah dataran tinggi. Hal ini dikarenakan sangat sulit sekali memelihara Phalaenopsis jenis ini di daerah Jakarta yang dataran rendah dan panas. Phalaenopsis ini dinamakan seperti di atas dikarenakan coraknya yang menyerupai tulisan-tulisan berwarna kemerahan. Termasuk dalam SUBGENUS Polychilos SECTION Zebrinae berukuran kira-kira 3.5cm dan berasal dari Sumatra bagian Tengah.

Dendrobium ini berasal dari daerah Sulawesi bagian Utara. Ukuran bunganya tidak terlalu besar hanya sekitar kurang dari 1 cm berwarna putih dengan labellum berwarna merah, dimana ujung labellumnya berbentuk bulat seperti manik-manik. Termasuk dalam Section Monanthos, Dendrobium ini termasuk dalam habitat dengan ketinggian menengah, namun ternyata masih dapat hidup adaptif di daerah Jakarta atau dataran rendah dan dapat berbunga.

Diplocaulobium ini berasal dari daerah Papua berukuran sekitar 7-8cm. Namun pada saat ini yang diakui oleh Kew berdasarkan Malesian Orchids namanya berubah menjadi Dendrobium lewisiae Schuit. & de Vogel 2009 Section Diplocaulobium (seluruh Genus Diplocaulobium dirubah kembali masuk ke dalam Genus Dendrobium Section Diplocaulobium menurut Kew, namun untuk membedakannya saya di blog ini, saya tetap memakai nama Diplocaulobium). Seperti kebanyakan Diplocaulobium, bunganya hanya sehari saja. Sesuai dengan namanya, Diplocaulobium ini mempunyai 2 warna saja yaitu coklat dan kuning.

This Diplocaulobium is derived from the Papua region measuring about 7-8cm. However, at present recognized by Kew Malesian, the name was changed to Dendrobium lewisiae Schuit. & de Vogel 2009 Section Diplocaulobium (the whole genus Diplocaulobium converted back into the genus Dendrobium Section Diplocaulobium according to Kew, but to distinguish it from me on this blog, I kept the name Diplocaulobium). Like most Diplocaulobium, the flower only for a day. As the name implies, this Diplocaulobium only have 2 colors of brown and yellow.

Vanda liouvillei Finet 1912

Vanda yang berasal dari daerah Asia Tenggara ini berukuran tidaklah terlalu besar untuk ukuran Vanda, yaitu sekitar 3-4cm saja bunganya. berwarna coklat dan mempunyai labellum yang cukup panjang dan terbelah dua seperti lidah ular.

Vanda ini mirip dengan Vanda brunea warna sepal petalnya, hanya vanda brunea lebih besar dan labellumnya tidak panjang seperti Vanda ini.

Vanda ini termasuk Vanda yang menyukai sinar matahari dan kebanyakan hidup di dataran rendah hingga menengah.

Diplocaulobium textile (J.J.Sm.) P.F.Hunt & Summerh. 1961

Dahulu jenis seperti ini dinamakan Dendrobium, namun sejak beberapa tahun yang lalu dirubah namanya menjadi Diplocaulobium. Khusus untuk Diplocaulobium ini, berasal dari daerah Sulawesi Utara, dengan ukuran bunga yang cukup besar dari ujung sepal ke ujung petal, bisa mencapai hampir 10cm dan daunnya seperti rumput agak panjang sekitar 10-15cm. Seperti kebanyakan Diplocaulobium, species ini pun mekar bunganya hanya 1 hari saja. Peletakannya agak remang-remang tidak terlalu terkena sinar matahari langsung.

Vanda yang berukuran cukup besar ini berasal dari daerah Kalimantan. Ukuran Vanda ini bisa mencapai 7-10cm berwarna kuning putih. Di daerah Jakarta, Vanda ini cukup susah untuk dipelihara, apabila tumbuh pun kadang Vanda ini susah sekali berbunga, padahal di tempat asalnya Vanda ini merupakan Vanda dataran rendah yang hidup antara sea level hingga 300 m di atas permukaan laut.

Vanda ini seringkali dipakai untuk menyilangkan dengan Vanda lain hanya untuk mengambil warna kuning nya.

Vanda ini mempunyai aroma yang cukup wangi.

Cattleya Portia variant Coerulea

Cattleya ini adalah pemberian seorang teman saya yang juga sama-sama penggemar anggrek.

Cattleya ini merupakan silangan dari Cattleya bowringiana dan Cattleya labiata yang diregistered oleh Veitch pada tahun 1897, jadi merupakan silangan yang sudah lama sekali.

Dikatakian variant Coerulea dikarenakan warna labellum yang berwarna biru. Anggrek ini kelihatannya mudah berbunga dan dapat adaptif di dataran rendah.

This Cattleya was giving a friend of mine who is also orchid enthusiasts.
This is a hybrid of Cattleya labiata and Cattleya bowringiana and registered by Veitch in 1897, so it is a hybrid that was a long time ago.
It is said Coerulea variant due to the color blue of  its labellum. It seems easy orchid flower and can be adaptive in the lowlands.
