Dendrobium ini termasuk dalam SECTION Formosae dengan bunga berwarna putih dan lidah berwarna putih dan merah. Berukuran cukup besar antara 5-7.5 cm dan berasal dari daerah Assam India, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos dan Vietnam, hidup di dataran menengah, dan menyukai sinar matahari, tidak menyukai media yang basah.
Dendrobium ini ternyata cukup adaptif di dataran rendah dan dapat pula berbunga. Bunganya cukup tahan lama hingga beberapa hari bahkan bisa lebih dari 2 minggu.
